Despite a pleased customer base, visually engaging displays, and timely rent cheques the owners of Levenshulme Antique Village apparently found Planet Vintage Girl's stock too controversial.

The appearance of a humble 1970's "Space Hopper" set the wheels in motion for the owners to terminate Planet Vintage Girl's contract in December 2007. Or was it the 1950's vintage American sock monkey?

Although we are sad to leave, we can't help but have a giggle as we go. Planet Vintage Girl will continue to offer sophisticated, hard to find vintage design pieces from the 50's, 60's and 70's through its online Store and Failsworth Mill Antique Warehouse.
